Pittsburgh Wealth Management Group Announces FedImpact Federal Retirement Workshop for Pittsburgh-Area Employees
Safe Retirement Radio host Michael Battalini invites federal employees to attend a complimentary FedImpact retirement planning workshop in Pittsburgh.
PITTSBURGH, PA, UNITED STATES, March 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Federal employees in the Pittsburgh region are invited to attend an upcoming complimentary FedImpact Federal Retirement Workshop hosted by Michael Battalini, President and CEO of Pittsburgh Wealth Management Group and host of the long-running Safe Retirement Radio program. The full-day educational workshop will take place Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Cambria Hotel Pittsburgh – Downtown, located at 1320 Centre Avenue in Pittsburgh. Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m., with the training session running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The workshop is designed specifically for federal employees who want to better understand the complex system of federal retirement benefits and how key decisions today may affect their long-term retirement income.
Federal retirement benefits often involve a wide range of programs and acronyms—including FERS, CSRS, TSP, FEHB, and FEGLI—which can make planning for retirement confusing. The FedImpact Workshop helps simplify these topics and provide attendees with practical knowledge so they can make informed retirement decisions.
During the workshop, participants will learn about:
• Federal pension systems including CSRS and FERS
• Understanding the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
• Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) options
• Social Security and the Special Retirement Supplement
• Federal life insurance (FEGLI) and health insurance (FEHB) benefits
• Long-term care considerations (FLTCIP)
• Key retirement planning strategies for federal employees
The workshop is free to attend, and federal employees may request official training time using the SF-182 training authorization form. Spouses are also encouraged to attend.
“Federal retirement benefits can be incredibly valuable, but they can also be confusing and difficult to navigate,” said Battalini. “Our goal with this workshop is to help federal employees better understand their benefits and feel more confident about the decisions they make as they approach retirement.”
FedImpact workshops are designed to provide clear, candid education that helps federal employees translate complex benefits language into practical planning strategies. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive additional guidance following the workshop, including the option to review their personal retirement situation in more detail.
